I'm normally a Benjamin's steakhouse guy, but we were roaming around K-town and didn't feel like having KBBQ, and we found Royal 35 on yelp. The reviews and pictures looked great so I decided to pop in. Pretty standard NYC steakhouse experience, the service was great, very attentive and then they would let us enjoy our food without hovering over us. We ordered pretty simple things, the Royal salad, bacon, ribeye which came whole and not sliced which was nice. Didn't have room for dessert, but grabbed a tiramisu to go, girlfriend said it was good I didn't partake. Will definitely come back if I'm around midtown but won't make the trip just for dinner.

One of the best steak places I have been to in a very long time in New York. Service is outstanding and the restaurant just has the class to make it a perfect date night

High end steak house but small. Very good service and food. Want to dress up, it's white table clothes. Easy to get to.

Fantastic ribeye steak! Chilean sea bass was huge and the lemon wine sauce for the mash was delicious. The service was stellar Thank you to our fabulous waiter

Great steakhouse in midtown. I tried the lamb chops, mashed potatoes and broccoli and all were delicious. I just wish the lamb chops were seasoned with more than salt and pepper. The cheesecake was great too. The service was great and the ambiance was intimate and fancy. Overall, I'm happy with my experience here!

I'm so glad we can to Royal 35. The food was amazing. Probably the best steak I've ever had. We were greeted by one of the owners of the place and he was one of the nicest most humble people you will ever meet. Can't wait to go back again. They definitely to steak right.

Solid yet Pricey Steakhouse in the Theater District! I celebrated a 35th birthday with dinner here. We arrived at our reservation time and were promptly seated. They also had stand alone high chairs which was plus. We skipped the appetizers and went straight to the meat of the meal... the Porterhouse Steak for Two which was a good serving of nicely aged beef. The quality of beef used is undeniably solid but the flavor could have been better accentuated with more seasoning. Usually some of the 'au jus' drizzled over it would correct that but this was not the case. The sides were also solid not spectacular; we went with Sautéed Asparagus and Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese was good but also missing that next level seasoning throughout. I would say the same of the Twin Lobster Tails. The price was not reflective my overall satisfaction with our meal. The bill was higher than similar steakhouses in the area. This is echoed by other Yelp Elite Reviews.

Royal 35 is amazing steakhouse with old school vibes. Decided to try Royal 35 for my birthday after seeing it spoken about on social media. I am happy it lived up to the hype. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and patient. We ate on the first floor in the room toward the back. The room gives an intimate feel as there were other couples having dinner and/or families. Was quiet, not a loud party vibe. You could hold a good conversation with your table without feeling as though you had to shout. Upon leaving staff said their goodbyes. I am not sure if it was the manager or owner, but he made sure to speak up as we were leaving to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Husband and I got drinks, Cesar salad, porterhouse steak for two, veggies, and macaroni and cheese. Lets just get down to the nitty gritty. The steak, and its presentation, were perfect. Perfectly cooked to desired temperature, perfectly seasoned, perfectly juicy and tender. I would definitely suggest coming here if you want to have a nice dinner date, or take your parents out, or to celebrate a major event.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 6 Decor: 8 Value: 7 Overall: 7 Let me start off by saying that this was one of the more flavorful ribeyes I had in recent memory. For $75, I expect a good steak, but have been disappointed before at other steakhouses. It was tender and juicy, though the crust could have been better. Caesar salad was just okay. We also returned the asparagus soup, which was cool. Service score suffered a little due to hesitancy to return it to the kitchen. French onion soup and crab cakes were both decent. As for decor, it's got a typical steakhouse design. However, I did like the interior design for chomping down my large hunk of meat. I'll likely come back again in the future.
